Workshops: Registration Policy

· Students must be at least 18 years of age.

· Registration is limited to no more than 5 students per workshop, and workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

· The full workshop fee is due at the time of registration for 1-day and 2-day workshops. A deposit of $400.00 is due at the time of registration for workshops scheduled for 3 or more days and the balance is due 3 weeks prior to the workshop start date. An unpaid balance after the due date will result in termination of the registration and forfeiture of all previous payments.

· Prospective students must first review all policies, and then email Daniel Faia at dcfwoodcarver@gmail.com if they are interested in registering for a workshop. The email inquiry should include the title and scheduled dates(s) of the requested workshop. If space is available, Dan will send a follow-up email with a registration form, payment instructions, and tool list. If space is not available, a waiting list is optional. If prospective students don’t receive a response from Dan within 24 hours, they should follow up to make sure that he received their request.

· A registration is not transferable, and it is not confirmed until the completed/signed 2026 workshop program registration form and check payment (payable to Daniel Faia) have been received and processed.

· Electronic payment methods, such as credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, and Zelle, are not accepted.

· Once Daniel Faia has a completed/signed 2026 workshop program registration form on file, it will apply to any and all 2026 workshop registrations, and students will not need to submit additional registration forms if they register for additional 2026 workshops.

· Students who are registered for private instruction should refer to their registration form for the applicable registration policy.

Workshops: Cancellation Policy

Workshops are limited to small groups (no more than 5 students) in order to provide an optimal teaching environment and a personalized learning experience. Prospective students should consider their schedules carefully before committing to and registering for a workshop.

· A student must notify Daniel Faia via email at dcfwoodcarver@gmail.com to request a cancellation of a workshop registration.

· If, for any reason, a student cancels a workshop registration at least 60 days prior to the workshop start date, a 75% refund of the paid workshop deposit/fee will be issued.

· If, for any reason, a student cancels a workshop registration 30-59 days prior to the workshop start date, a 50% refund of the paid workshop deposit/fee will be issued.

· If, for any reason, a student cancels a workshop registration less than 30 days prior to the workshop start date, no refund will be issued.

· If, for any reason, a student is a no-show/non-attendee or only attends part of a workshop, no refund will be issued.

· Daniel Faia reserves the right to cancel any workshop at any time. If a workshop is canceled by Daniel Faia and it cannot be mutually rescheduled, registered students will be issued a refund* of the paid workshop deposit/fee. *Students who previously canceled their workshop registration are not eligible for a refund.

· Students who are registered for private instruction should refer to their registration form for the applicable cancellation policy.

· All open carving guided instruction sessions are weather permitting and may be canceled by Daniel Faia due to inclement weather.

· The fee per 3-hour session is $50.00 (project materials are not included), and payment (cash or check payable to Daniel Faia) is due at the beginning of each session.

· Advance registration is required for each session.

· Prospective students must first review all policies and then email Daniel Faia at dcfwoodcarver@gmail.com to inquire about registration up to one week in advance of an open carving guided instruction session. If space is available, Dan will send a follow-up email with the necessary registration information. If prospective students don’t receive a response from Dan within 24 hours, they should follow up to make sure that he received their request.

· Students may cancel their registration for an open carving guided instruction session by emailing Daniel Faia at dcfwoodcarver@gmail.com, but are asked to do so as soon as possible so he can make the space available to another student.
